Artist Statement: 
One of my first experiences with the magic of fantasy was when I was about five years old and my mother read 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' aloud to me and my siblings. I was utterly enchanted by the story and thought about it constantly, looking for doors into Narnia wherever I went. The magic and possibility in this story inspired me, and though I've never found my way into a different world, I have found life lessons, friendship, and strength through the fantastical tales I've read throughout the years. This scene, where Lucy and Mr Tumnus meet for the first time, marks both the beginning of Lucy's adventure and my own lifelong love of fantasy.
