Artist Statement: 
it featured Brazilian instruments, polyrhythmic beats, and mysterious lyrics that transported the listener. I pop it on while painting today to travel into a land of jungles and lovers with swirling dark hair and lizard skin boots. I created this piece based on the lyrics from the song "Further To Fly": “the open palm of desire… wants everything...[I will] Lose you as I lose my light...Days falling backward into velvet night.”
