Artist Statement: 
The leaves are glittering just like scales, overlapping neatly
on the belly of the fish that’s rushed up to greet me.
It says hello, and I dip my hands in the ice‑cold water to tap its nose,
except I’m on my back, petting it from below.
It’s dripping from the branches, watching me cry,
and I can tell it wants to swim in the salty water of my eyes.
