Artist Statement:
This painting tells a story of the divine connection between every woman on earth and our heavenly parents. The subject, a woman of dignity and strength, receives a crown in recognition of her royal heritage; we, too, are creatures with an incomparable birthright that allows us to shine in a world that tells us to hide our light. We, too, can accept the Lord’s invitation to “Lay aside the things of this world… Keep my commandments continually, and a crown of righteousness thou shalt receive.”
