Artist Statement: 
This tender moment has touched my heart each time I read about it. "He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded...Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him." John 13: 4-5, 16. I love the humility and love that God's precious Son showed as he taught these men the important principle of serving others.
