Artist Statement: 
Who among us wasn’t deeply inspired by the events coming out of NASA this month, particularly the feminine energy that was palpable as history was made. What a time to be alive.
 
I think the general consensus is that the moon is a woman, and I wanted to create a piece that shows the divine feminine and how it influenced and interacted with the Savior during his life. I imagined Christ sitting up late after his friends had gone to bed, just to feel the stillness of a cool summer’s night, and to keep watch over his friends as they slept. It’s something most mothers can relate to, soaking in the peace of a silent night after a long day.
