Artist Statement:
“Light & Life for All” is an original hand-carved linocut print of baby Jesus surrounded by red crown anemones, the national flower of Israel. A golden halo encircles His head, symbolizing the divine light that entered the world through His humble birth. The anemones symbolize the life He brings through His coming sacrifice. This print is a reminder that Light of the World came as a precious baby, and because of Him, we all may live.
Each print begins as a hand-carved linoleum block. The design is carefully inked, then pressed by hand onto fine art paper, making every impression unique with its own subtle texture and character. This process gives the piece a timeless, handmade quality that digital reproductions can't replicate.
