Artist: Amandine Loveland
Title: Disonycha Tenuicornis
Medium: Collage
Size: 3in x 4in
Artist Statement: I spent many summers accompanying my Grand-Papa on bug catching excursions. I have a fond memory of him pinning the smallest beetle I had ever seen. The exterior of this beetle's body was so tough! I could not understand how my Grand-Papa couldn't get a pin through such a small insect. I also learned a few choice words that day! While this is not the exact beetle, I can guarantee he had one in his collection!
