Artist Statement:
Insect pinning is a practice that has been around since the 1700s. During the Victorian Era, it became a more widespread hobby. People began to display pinned insects in their homes. When I imagined opening a cabinet of curiosities, the first thing I pictured was a frame of pinned lepidoptera, or butterflies. Pinning butterflies made of beads is sure to last the test of time. Includes Butterfly Earrings, can be sold seperately.
