Artist Statement: My Grand-Papa was an avid collector of all things intriguing! Well traveled and educated, he had a passion for displaying his finds and teaching others about them. His insect collection was immense and when he passed we all received some of his shadow boxes. Butterflies immediately bring him to my mind. He was deepy appreciative of the beauty found in them.
