Jenny Reeder is a 19th century women's history specialist and curator for the Historic Sites division of the Church History Department in Salt Lake City. She has a PhD in American history from George Mason University, with a dissertation on material culture commemorating the Nauvoo Relief Society--a sort of "usable" past. She wrote First: The Life and Faith of Emma Smith with Deseret Book in 2021, and co-edited At the Pulpit: 185 Years of Discourses by Latter-day Saint Women with the Church Historian's Press, as well as Witness of Women: Firsthand Experiences and Testimonies of the Restoration with Deseret Book.
