Artist Statement: What is it like for a person of color to be solely defined by that color and prevented from defyign the color line? What is it like for a person of color to try to overcome color divides in this country? What is it like for a person of color to have to navigate white spaces?
 
Frame Details: -Frame: 1-1/2" Wide (carved line will extend the color line on both sides of the frame in each piece).-Wood: Walnut Black Wash.-Spacer: Float without a mat without much space around them.-Glazing: TruVue Museum Optium (Acrylic).
