Artist Statement: 
Ships to me symbolize Journey and Exploration, movement forward as we travel through this experience called life. I wanted to create something dynamic and delicate in these pieces, playing with the idea that we are on journeys of our own, life is fragile, and we have potential to be so much more than we often give ourselves credit for, or even allow ourselves. I have 2 sisters so these 2 pieces are a tribute to the beautiful lives they have created. Not directly, they are not portraits, just depictions of the beautiful attributes of women in my life who I love dearly.
