Artist Statement: 
Dear Viewer, I would ask you to imagine yourself within this scene in turns — those leading the flock, those following, the one straying, and the one coming to the rescue. At different seasons of life we will act out these different roles. It is those moved by His Spirit who go searching for the wandering that inspire me most; their actions are not merely kindness but discipleship — answering Christ’s call to be His hands and feet in the world. We are imperfect instruments of His grace, participating in the work of redemption. As Bonnie Cordon said, “Be the source of love and care you are hoping to receive from others” — a simple call to pursue and care for others as the Good Shepherd would Himself.
