Artist Statement:
This man registered me to vote at my local polling station. He looked amazing! But he refused to let me take his portrait. So I pulled out a favorite trick and asked to photograph his hand. You can find out a lot about a person by the shape of their hands and fingers. Sometimes I wonder out loud to people on the subway. Are you a musician, teacher? potter? pianist? I can detect the hands of an artist.
