Artist Statement:
St Margaret was imprisoned for being Christian. Legend says, while she was imprisoned, was swallowed by the devil in the form of a dragon. The cross she was holding irritated him, and she broke free from his belly. Although I am not of the Catholic faith, I see value in learning these saint’s stories. As a Latter Day Saint, I am learning that these saints, like me, were mortal people who had miraculous experiences with God, and were changed forever. Their stories inspire me to keep the faith.
