Artist Statement:
Forgiving others (and ourselves) can be some of the most difficult work. It can feel heavy, discouraging and monotonous. Why are we asked to do it? How does it all add up? What would our communities be like if we were anxiously engaged in forgiveness? It's not that we literally forgive 490 times and then we're done so no need to count, but this is a reminder that this practice of forgiveness leads to increased peace. That's why I chose a neutral, calming palette.
