Artist Statement: As an architect in the process of design, there are always conversations, ideas and concepts incorporated in the planning of construction. At the core of designing a space of which one day we would live, we are picking up thoughts everyday which will become the foundation of not only aesthetic decisions, but also of how we can integrate deep beliefs of our perspective on the world into what we would interact with everyday. When we build upon on our Cornerstone, Jesus Christ, we understand that it is a persistant invitation to allow his influence into the fibers of our lives. We root in him, we bear fruit by his name, we intertwine our hope with our neighbors and community. Aligning with a mission greater than ourselves will result in our warping and transforming into something more refined, natural and beautiful than we could ever build ourselves.
