Artist Statement:

This painting represents the strength and sacred responsibility of women who follow Christ. The central figure holds up a candlestick, symbolizing the Light of Christ, personal revelation, and testimony. With her other hand, she lifts a sister who is reaching up from the ground. Behind them, a procession of women also carry light, moving forward together in unity.  This image reflects the idea that true sovereignty is not about standing alone, but about using our agency to lift others, share truth, and to build and beautify Zion. It echoes a prophetic vision of our time where women, grounded in their divine identity, rise with power and purpose to gather, nurture, and lead. As they trust in God and act on personal revelation, their discipleship deepens. They become a vital force for good, helping each other rise and radiate light in a world that needs it.  “Much of the major growth that is coming to the Church in the last days will come because many of the good women of the world… will be drawn to the Church in large numbers. This will happen to the degree that the women of the Church reflect righteousness and articulateness in their lives.”   President Spencer W. Kimball
