Artist Statement:
Patron saint of healing and beekeeping, Gobnait, left her childhood home on foot in search of peace. While traveling 5th century Ireland, she was told in vision to settle the place she came upon nine white dear. Met with varying number of white deer along her way, she finally and obediently settled when her vision was finally fulfilled. Saint Gobnait spent the rest of her life serving and saving her adopted community from illness and disease with her precious honey and expertise in healing.
