Even when we’ve been battered and scarred, there can still be beauty. Blue is often representative of divinity and lamp black, while made from soot, was historically collected from lamps that burned in sacred places where prayers were being said, and then used to write sacred words. Red is symbolic of earth, but these reds are also quite literally earth, dirt if you like, an impressive transformation.
