Artist Statement:
In Moses 1:6 God tells Moses one of the most important truths, saying “I have a work for thee, Moses, my son; and thou art in the similitude of mine Only Begotten⁠.” It is a truth of great importance that Moses, like all of us, is a child of God. And like him, we were made in the similitude of the Savior. Similitude means the state of being similar to something or resembling someone. I want everyone to see the similarities between themselves and Jesus. So in this painting the Savior has brown skin and curly hair. Allowing his children born with these features, to see that they were also made in the Similitude of the Only Begotten
