Artist Statement:
“Father…I Thirst” is a representation of Jesus Christ as he died on the cross—a moment of profound physical suffering and spiritual significance. In these words, we witness the Savior’s humanity, His bodily agony, and, beyond that, His yearning to reestablish his temporarily severed bond with his Father, all very familiar in each of our mortal experience. 
The textures and forms dissolve and bleed into one another, much like Christ’s own being was poured out for the world. His words, “I thirst”, echo through time—not just as a plea for relief but as a call to all who would follow Him, to quench the spiritual thirst of others, to embody compassion, and to recognize the price of grace.
This painting is an offering, a meditation on suffering, sacrifice, and the boundless reach of divine love.
