Artist Statement:
While we don’t directly pray to Jesus, we are encouraged to have a relationship with Him and live so that the light of
Christ will be seen through us. These amazing woman, along with many others, have shared their light, wisdom, and
gifts, so that our glorious Heavenly Mother may be seen, and we can have a better relationship with Her. Through ALL
of us...She can be seen!
The symbols these women chose to represent their work are described below from left to right:
Kristina A. Bishoff- Producer & Composer for DIVINE, the first collection of music about Heavenly Parents and our
divine potential to be like Them. Playlists are found at her personal Youtube channel @KristinaABishoff.
Symbol: My baton symbolizes my gift to compose and gather music about our Heavenly Parents and divine potential.
A conductor unites voices and instruments to create beauty as intended, just as God, the great Composer and
Conductor, guides us all in life’s orchestra.
McArthur Krishna - A fierce advocate for women to embrace their divine destiny through art, books, gatherings and
good ol’fashioned rabble rousing. McArthur believes celebrating Heavenly Mother not only lifts women but reorders
the entire universe— no small feat!
Symbol: The pomegranate is my personal symbol of passion and divine abundance... and that the reality of women
may be a little different than the stories we’ve been handed.
Maxine Hanks - Historian and theologian, has researched Mormon history since 1977, exploring Mormon music,
pioneer history, LDS origins, polygamy, women's history, and feminist theology.
Symbol: My book Women and Authority: Re-emerging Mormon Feminism was inspired by a vision of our Mother in
1987, which gave me a sense that She sees among people a great need for Her. So, I began researching Her presence
in the LDS Restoration and women's experiences of Her, which I published in the book.
Carol Lynn Pearson- Author and performer, who has devoted much of her life to bringing the Mother back into the
family with the poems in Finding Mother God and her one-woman play, Mother Wove the Morning, a search for the
Feminine Divine in history, which she performed over 300 times internationally.
Symbol: We, as mothers, are called "The Heart of the Home," and through us our Divine Mother surely can be known
as “The Heart of Heaven."
Fiona Givens - Baptized in Frankfurt, Germany, much to the continued consternation of her family. In addition to a
number of published articles, she is co-author with her husband, Terryl, of The God Who Weeps, The Christ who
Heals, and All Things New.
Symbol: The sapling represents the Tree of Life - a powerful symbol of the Divine Mother.
Bethany Brady Spalding – Author of four books celebrating Heavenly Mother (and she’ll gift you one for your birthday
if you send her your address!)
Symbol: A sparkler, because she lives to shine our Mother's light on people, places, and powerful truths (and fire up
some change along the way).
Melissa Tshikamba - Congolese-American artist whose work explores identity, culture, and the divine feminine, using
layered textures and symbolism to foster self-love, connection, and a deeper understanding of our shared humanity.
Through her art, she seeks to eradicate internalized racism, affirm the beauty of Blackness, and honor the divine
feminine as a source of resilience, creation, and spiritual power.
Symbol: The painting palette embodies Melissa’s cosmic calling to create—expressing truth through art so others can
see themselves as divine, worthy, and connecting them to their heritage and humanity.
