Artist Statement:
This piece was inspired by the following lyrics from the band The King Will Come: "I know you never wanted to be broken, but I needed you to be broken to be open." 
The experiences that have left me feeling the most broken are the experiences that have become holy to me. The moments my soul has been shattered, are the moments that Christ has healed my broken heart. Sometimes the broken parts of us are the most beautiful, sacred, and holy.
