From nearly every summit in Utah Valley, Utah Lake glimmers like a living heart. On this hike I was inspired how its surface mirrored the sunset’s last light. Snowmelt from the surrounding mountains flows down to feed the lake; in turn, its water rises, evaporates, and returns as new snow. This endless cycle reminds me that the lake is more than scenery, it’s the pulse that sustains our precious little valley, connecting sky, mountain, and community.
