Artist Statement:
When I moved to Vineyard in 2021, Utah Lake immediately became a place of self reflection and reprieve. The value of having this natural space in the midst of a bustling and burgeoning community is immeasurable. I've spent countless hours along the shores. "And into the forest [for me, to the lake] I go, to lose myself and find my soul." -John Muir. As I frequent this space, I can't help but feel a connection to the generations of people who have stood where I stand, watching the sun set and listening to the lap of the waves upon the shore.
