Artist Statement:
This work is both reliquary and incantation, created as a sacred offering for Utah Lake. The reflected sun blurs water and sky until they are inseparable, a celestial mirror that could be heaven above or water below, a vessel of memory and renewal. The print was washed in the lake’s own waters, a quiet baptism binding her essence into the work. The piece honors the lake not only as a body of water, but as a sanctuary of renewal, a spell of survival, an ancient spirit continually remaking herself. She is held here not as broken, but as sacred, alive, and becoming whole again.
