Artist Statement: At the time of Christ’s life, it was believed that He was there to save His followers from political tyranny and injustice. On Palm Sunday as He entered the streets of Jerusalem His followers shouted “Hosanna!” meaning “Please save us!” While Christ will at times deliver us from our physical circumstances, through His gift of the Atonement we more often experience Him saving us from sins, sorrows, and ultimately death. Though He does not currently physically walk down our streets, we can shout Hosanna, and rejoice in the fact that Christ will, and does, save us every hour.
