"Going to Water” ceremony (ama, ayv-dlv-gi) is traditionally practiced. This is one of the oldest and most sacred Cherokee rituals, still remembered and used today for healing, purification, and spiritual renewal. I tried to capture the sacred meaning behind this Cherokee ritual.
