Artist Statement:
In painting the Magi I wanted to show who they were, both in status, and in their hearts. I love the jewel like clors of renaissance art, and used it to show their wealth. Gazing at the star in the upper left of the painting, the Magi yearns for the Messiah, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords.
