Artist Statement:
Folklore and myths are often born from a desire to understand our surroundings and experiences. A naturalist thinking Thysania agrippina was a bird tried to shoot it down but due to its large wingspan the moth was unaffected and continued flying. This gave it the name The White Witch Moth and The Ghost Moth. Stories of a forest spirit were created until science gave way to understanding.
