Artist Statement:
As this painting progressed and the vision of what the subject needed to be began to emerge, I found that this is an embracing of self; which is a journey like none other. The nature of the mind as a way to experience the world in Buddhism but also as nature forming itself out of confusing nonsense or brain funk. Trying to make sense out of the encompassing uncertainties of the mind and form a gradual path to understanding. A journey of healing and insight. A reassurance that there is hope and the knowledge that you are not alone in your own quest to find yourself again.
