Clay is such a beautiful, forgiving medium and a perfect metaphor for God's Grace. Any time an inconsistency or mistake forms, the potter can re-shape and begin again. There is also the importance of staying centered on the wheel. Even a small deviation from the center would throw the creation off the vessel off balance.
