As a religious artist, I’ve found that I can accomplish so much more with my Heavenly Father's help than as plain ‘ol Megan Rieker. And when I’m not living as I should – my hand and brush are not guided and the work is not as good. But when I try my honest best to live the principles of the gospel and humbly ask for guidance each time I create, it is infinitely better. It is a curious thing to look back on past works and be able to tell - just by looking – how close or far I was to the spirit. A favorite quote I have hanging up in my studio reads, “The more you trust and rely upon the Spirit, the greater your capacity to create.” Elder Uchdorf 2008
