Artist Statement:
The Lord said that if you have faith, you can move mountains. When I first heard that phrase as a child, I often closed my eyes in the backseat of my dad's car and said to the mountain outside the window, "Move!" But when I opened my eyes and saw the mountain not moving, I thought, "Oh... well I guess I still don't have that much faith!" But as I got older, I learned that faith includes action. To move a mountain, you have to start by scooping up a handful of dirt and moving it, believing that you can do it and that God will help you. It is an exercise of faith accompanied by action that leads to great accomplishment that seemed daunting at the time.
