Artist Statement:
Queen Esther was a courageous woman who risked her life to save her people from destruction. She went against tradition and protocol to be seen by the king and make her petition. In this window she wears her majestic robes and finery as a feminine queen. She communes with God in the garden she inherited from Queen Vashti. She contemplates what she is called to do for such a time as this. What are we called to do? It may not be as dramatic but none the less, we have our purpose as courageous women.
