Join us Friday evening, May 20th, at 6 pm for the opening reception for an exhibit of Colby Sanford's work called Fatherhood.
Colby is a Provo local, a BFA candidate at BYU whose work has been featured in shows throughout Utah, including the Springville Art Museum and Brigham Young University. For years Colby has produced work that focuses on both the tragic and painful in human experience as well as human potential. Colby recently became a father, and the works in this show explore his engagement with these themes of emptiness, sorrow, and ugliness but also hopefulness from the perspective of a new parent.
Come enjoy this rich, charming artwork and take the opportunity to meet and chat with one of Provo's most promising emerging young artists. The show will run through June 1st, and Friday's opening is free to the public.
