About the event

Please join us for a continuation of The Big Questions, a new Faith Matters series of conversations that seek to expand and deepen our understanding of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. This month, Terryl Givens will be joined by Latter-day Saint/Mormon Studies scholar, Deidre Green, to explore the foundations of atonement theology with questions such as:

  • What happened in Gethsemane?

  •  How necessary is understanding the atonement?

  •  How did first Christians understand the idea?

  • Is there a theology of atonement in the scriptures? In the church?
